If we want to stop catastrophic climate change, we can’t keep building oil and gas pipelines. But that’s what the owners of Trans Mountain Pipeline in Canada want to do. They’re seeking to expand their operations, violating Indigenous rights and exacerbating the climate crisis at the same time.
There’s a hitch. Pipelines need insurance to get built and to operate, and more and more insurers are dropping dirty projects like this one. Just last week, the insurance company Zurich backed out of the project after facing criticism from activists. This week, you can keep the momentum going by pressuring another big insurer of the Trans Mountain Pipeline – Liberty Mutual.

Hey @LibertyMutual: It’s time you stop paying for dirty oil pipelines that we don’t need. Stop insuring the #TransMountain pipeline.
