Hey guys happy Sunday! By now you probably know that every Sunday I donate my social media to my @YearsofLiving team to talk about carbon pricing! Please take a second to read this post to figure out how you can get involved!! Remember it’s up to us! This Sunday’s post is by Jason Sleisenger, a #PutAPriceOnIt Fellow at UCLA.
Ps The last two sentences are my favorite :) “I am motivated to work as a climate activist because I believe climate change is both a major short term and long term problem. It will negatively affect our country and the rest of the world for years to come, unless we choose to take drastic action to become more sustainable and curb our carbon footprint. I believe carbon pricing is a very effective way to reduce carbon emissions while funding programs for research in a variety of fields–not just the environment, and any additional money can be used by the public for services they need. It truly is a win-win for both individuals and the climate of our planet as a whole! Cutting our carbon emissions will not only help us preserve the natural beauty that is abundant in our communities and throughout the world, but it will also ensure that we maintain our food supply for our growing population and keep the air we breathe and the water we drink clean for us, our children, and our children’s children. Now, more than ever, I feel compelled to take action to help keep our planet as beautiful as it was since the beginning of human civilization. Our planet has nurtured us since the beginning of our lives, and it is time that we return the favor and nurture it. A beautiful healthy planet will continue to lead us to be beautiful, healthy people, which will support happiness, creativity, and our overall well being on our home we call Earth.”
