As we gear up for tomorrow’s March for Science, now is a good time to read up on your rights.
Here in the U.S., the First Amendment protects both our freedom of speech and our right to peaceably assemble. The Climate Science Legal Defense Fund has prepared a set of guidelines for people participating in the march, in addition to this downloadable pamphlet. We recommend reading both.
If you’re marching outside the U.S., today would be a good time to make sure you’ve signed up with your local march organizers, and get all your logistical and legal questions answered.
If you can’t join in person tomorrow, then consider following the livestream here! Or check out the Years of Living Dangerously season 2 marathon that will be airing all day on National Geographic. Or do both!
