Only one in five Americans ever hears someone they know talk about climate change. That’s a problem! Silence is a terrible way to deal with a crisis. Climate scientist Katharine Hayhoe says this is called the “spiral of silence.”
This week’s action is simple. Just talk about climate change with someone you know. You can say whatever you want. You could express your concern about the crisis, or you could share what you’re doing to help solve it. You can even invite someone to join you in taking action.
You can also help share the importance of this issue by watching and sharing the video with Dr. Hayhoe below.
