Eat More Plants, The Planet Is Depending On It

This week, cut your carbon footprint by eating more plants, and fewer animal products.

Last week, the United Nations released an important report about how humans have transformed Earth’s land, and what it means for climate change. They found we can’t solve the climate crisis by transitioning to clean energy alone — we also need to protect nature and build a more sustainable food system. 

One of the most important ways individuals can help build this system is by eating more plants and less meat, especially beef. Adding more beans, fruits, vegetables and whole grains to your diet instead of meat and dairy make for a more resource and carbon efficient diet. Plus, it’s good for your health!
