We Won’t Stop Calling for a Climate Debate

Ask the Democratic National Convention to reconsider holding a climate debate.

Last week, the Democratic National Convention rejected a proposal to host a separate debate focused on climate change, which was called for by leading presidential candidates, senators, congressmen, environmental nonprofits and many voters. Not only did the DNC say it wasn’t holding a climate debate, it said that any candidate who participates in any independent debate about climate change will not be invited to official DNC debates in the future.

This is outrageous. Don’t take “no” for an answer. This week, sign the petition below from Sunrise Movement asking — again — for a debate dedicated to solving the climate crisis.

If you use Twitter, you can also tweet something like this:
We need to know how the 2020 candidates will address the climate crisis. The @DNC should reconsider its position and host a #ClimateDebate.

Or if you use Facebook, you can post something like this (be sure the @ links to The Democrats account):
We need to know how the 2020 candidates will address the climate crisis. The @Democrats should reconsider their position and host a #ClimateDebate.
