Last week, The Washington Post reported that the Trump administration wants to cut the federal budget for clean energy research by 72 percent. That money is used to help improve energy efficiency and create new renewable energy technologies like next generation solar, wind and zero-emission vehicles.
But it’s up to Congress to make the final budget decisions. This week, act on climate by asking your members of the Senate and House of Representatives to oppose reductions to the Energy Department’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. Tell them America should keep a technological edge in this area so we can create jobs and grow our economy.
