Support the Western Leaders Network
Earlier this week, the Western Leaders Network submitted a letter to the Senate in support of the Bureau of Land Management’s common sense rules to limit methane pollution. The House of Representatives has already voted to kill these rules, so it’s up to the Senate to save them. You can read the letter here, which is signed by public officials from the states of Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada and Utah.
Today, we’re asking you to support these public officials by also calling the senators of those states.
Here are their numbers:
Michael Bennet (CO) — (202) 224 5852
Cory Gardner (CO) — (202) 224 5941
Martin Heinrich (NM) — (202) 224-5521
Tom Udall (NM) — (202) 224-6621
Catherine Cortez Masto (NV) — (202) 224-3542
Dean Heller (NV) — (202) 224-6244
Orrin Hatch (UT) — (202) 224-5251
Mike Lee (UT) — (202) 224-5444
You can say something like this:
“I’m calling to express my support of the Western Leaders Network’s position on the Bureau of Land Management’s methane rules. Limiting methane waste from oil and gas extraction on federal lands will prevent the waste of taxpayer assets, clean up the air, and create new jobs. Please don’t use the Congressional Review Act to repeal these methane rules.”
